This Tai Chi move combines three moves into one. First, you move the other person’s hand. Second, you stop their hand. Third, you strike the other person.

You begin by taking a step forward. This is called jin bu. As you step forward you grab and move the other person’s hand. When you move your hand like this you will stop the other person’s hand from attacking you. This frees you to strike out with the fist of your other hand.
