You block and push away your opponent’s hand. This move is similar to the Tiger Form in Hsing Li.
In the first part of the move you defend yourself, you seal yourself inside. Then you use bei (a technical term for “force”) to push the opponent away.
It is like sealing off a building and keeping people away. You send yourself in, then force your opponent away; you retreat a little, then push out.

In this Ta Chi move you first stop and then push back an attacker’s hand. This move is very much like the Tiger Form in Hsing Li.
First you defensively secure yourself. Then you push your attacker away. This is called using bei, which means using force.
This is like shutting down a building so no one can come inside. You go into the building and force the attacker out. First, you go forward with your hands, then backward, then forward again, pushing your hands outward.
